Cultural scholar Fehler Kuti processes racist migration policies with his music, forming a transcultural sound concept between analogue 8-bit music and floundering funk. Fehler Kuti’s performance at the GGGNHM will be supported by the Augsburg Grand Choir.
Biography
Fehler Kuti aka Julian Warner is an artist and curator. He is the artistic director for the Augsburg Brecht Festival and co-curated performing arts festivals for Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm, Munich Kammerspiele, and Berlin’s Sophiensæle. As a research associate, he worked and taught at the Institute for Cultural Anthropology of the Georg August University in Göttingen, and he co-edited the ALLIANZEN – Kritische Praxis an weißen Institutionen (Critical Practice at White Institutions) anthology with Elisa Liepsch. He drafted the GLOBAL ANGST: PARLAMENT.PARADE.RITUAL project for SPIELART in 2021.
