For many people, even native speakers, legal language is a mystery. The Know Your Rights Initiative e.V. (KYRI) wants to change this and make the German legal system understandable and accessible to all. In the GGGNHM , KYRI simulates everyday situations in which we come into contact with the law. Now we need to know our rights, or at least understand them! In an interactive workshop, KYRI will question our knowledge of our own (basic) rights and shed light on the challenges of legal language. The workshop starts at 4:00 pm, and you can join at any time. The workshop will be followed by a discussion.
Biography
The Know Your Rights Initiative e.V. (KYRI) is an association that has set itself the primary goal of closing information gaps about the legal system and making the law accessible to all. This takes place through educational work for refugees and non-citizens, especially in the area of police and security law, in order to ensure access to justice for these often particularly affected target groups.
