Choreographer Chiara Bersani is going to conduct a three-day workshop as part of the SOTTOBOSCO project, aimed at people of varying age with motor disabilities. The workshop is designed to have the participants cross the room during the last five to ten minutes of the performance. Every workshop day takes about three hours, during which the relation between movement, sound, and space leads the exploration – based on the possibilities and the will of each individual body.
Biography
Chiara Bersani is an Italian performer, writer, director, and choreographer. She is mainly active in the fields of performative arts, documentary theatre, and contemporary dance, exploring concepts of the ‘political body’ and its practices in her works. For GENTLE UNICORN, she received the 2019 UBU Prize and First Prize in the Dance Category of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2019. She receives the apap – FEMINIST FUTURES support from 2020 until 2024, from a project that receives co-funding from the EU Creative Europe Programme.

The workshop room and stage are wheelchair accessible. A handicapped restroom is also available. Contact us if an assistant is needed.
The participation in all three workshop days is recommended, on 01.11. the rehearsal on the stage will also take place in the indicated timeframe.
