Spielmotor is the festival platform of the City of Munich for contemporary theatre.

With more than 40 years of experience, Spielmotor organize the International DANCE Festival München, Münchener Biennale, and the SPIELART Festival München, regularly welcoming artists from around the world. This is made possible not only through the valued collaboration with the Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich, but also through what is arguably Germany’s longest-standing public-private partnership: the collaboration with the BMW Group, which has been ongoing since 1979.
