NON-ALIGNED NEWSREELS – NON-ALIGNED Workshop

As part of her long-term project NON-ALIGNED NEWSREELS Serbian filmmaker Mila Turajlić invites members of diasporic communities from former Yugoslavia, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Ghana, Egypt, Algeria, Indonesia, India and Sudan to a special workshop. The project combines film footage by Yugoslavian cameraman Stevan Labudović with stories about anti-colonial liberation movements. Participants will explore the historical archives together, comment on them and revive them with their own memories. The workshop will be recorded for the artist’s future projects.
