3 Questions for Ralf Otto
I. Which topic is very important to you right now?
All means all and not just some. I try to organize all events in such a way that no one is isolated. This is not/not always possible in practice, but this approach makes the barriers more visible to me and then I have more opportunities to react to them
II. Do you have a ritual? Can you describe the ritual for us?
Yes, the central idea in my dance practice (DanceAbility method) is called “sensing”. Sensing describes a dance practice in which you simultaneously feel your body and are aware of what interests you outside your own body (people and/or objects) and can decide whether to use this information to change your own movement or to make contact and at the same time know what else is happening in the room. I do it several times a day, no matter where - in the subway, on my bike, during a meeting, now while writing... The nice thing about it is that it never gets boring.
III Which song do you like to listen to at the moment?
I'm constantly expanding my playlists for the dance workshops. And then I'm always stuck with songs of all kinds. My current catchy tune is: WHOLE LOTTA LOVE by 2CELLOS 😉.
